About Me

I have worked in TV for more than 10 years on over 50 programmes in over 20 countries.

Memorable experiences include driving across America in classic cars trying to pool hustle with Ronnie O’Sullivan, sampling the delights of Thai and Korean food with the Hairy Bikers and capturing the emotional moment a mother met the son she gave up for adoption 35 years earlier with Davina McCall. I have travelled across Spain with an army major in a heavy haulage trailer carrying a tank, filmed elephants trekking in the jungle and recorded Olympian Sir Chris Hoy using a specialist slow motion camera.

I am a skilled camera operator with a wide range of equipment (including film-grade lights, camera and lenses) and have filmed using a variety of techniques (I can work with gimbals, POV cameras and motion time-lapse). Having started my career working under two BAFTA award nominees and a BAFTA winner for cinematography, I learned to light scenes to a high standard meaning I can use multiple lights to make a complex scene visually appealing.

As my work has ranged from high end production shows with large crews through to observational documentaries filmed independently with a single camera, I’m used to adapting to different styles. I like being able to put people at ease and, as well as working with the general public, I am comfortable giving direction to actors and presenters. I have been directing throughout my career and in 2011 I won Best Upcoming Director from Directors UK for my short film ‘The Changing Face of India’.

Aside from broadcast production, I have worked on corporate films for both large blue chip companies (such as Barclays and Deutsche Bank) and small organisations (such as development charity Integrity Action).

I am also a published photographer and have had photos featured in The Times, Daily Mail, Stylist and The Guardian (see a few here).
